See you later stereotypes! Lego busts some myths with latest campaign (because building isn’t just for boys!)

After revealing that a shocking 80% of adults think that boys are better builders than girls, the LEGO Group have launched the She Built That campaign, to celebrate female creators and inspire girls around the world!

As well as redefining builder stereotypes through the recreation of the It’s Like That tune by Run-DMC; the campaign has taken over London. Iconic landmarks like the London Eye and Waterloo Bridge have been adorned with plaques, to honour the women who created them.

Former members of Run-DMC, Joseph Simmons and Darryl McDaniels said,  “We’re excited to see our classic anthem reimagined as “She Built That”, celebrating the creativity and innovation of girls everywhere.”

Look out for the immersive 2-day LEGO Group pop-up at London Southbank this summer where girls can continue being creative through dance, music and, of course, building!
