Krispy Kreme dunk on the competition this National Doughnut Day

Krispy Kreme have teamed up with rapper Lady Leshurr to create a diss track  directly targeting the pretenders in the doughnut domain.

Krispy Kreme, with the help of rapper and singer Lady Leshurr, released ‘We Run This Glaze,’ calling out subpar imitators with Leshurr’s trademark lyrical sharpness. The release follows Krispy Kreme’s clever ‘part exchange’ event on National Doughnut Day, where customers could swap a half-eaten doughnut from another brand for an authentic Original Glazed.

Lady Leshurr highlights the value of originality, stating, “For me, an original is unmatched, whether in music or doughnuts.”

Krispy Kreme echoes this sentiment: “Imitation flatters, but rarely satisfies like the original.” With 53% vowing to abandon dupes, the message is clear… embrace the Original (Glaze).
