Aldi have popped up outside McDonald’s offering a post-11am hash brown fix

Aldi is crashing into the breakfast scene with a bold stand against McDonald’s infamous 11am cutoff by unleashing the Aldi Hash Brown Van!

As soon as McDonald’s shutters its breakfast menu, Aldi’s van will be rolling up outside select locations, handing out free hash browns to everyone who missed their morning fix.

The campaign comes after research reveals a “great breakfast frustration” in the UK, with 62% of people thinking breakfast ends too early, and 42% clamouring for all-day hash browns. Aldi’s answer? Their Oakhurst Breakfast Hash Browns, a phenomenal deal at £1.99 for ten, compared to McDonald’s £1.49 apiece deal.

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “Brits love their hash browns and our Oakhurst Breakfast Hash Browns have developed quite the loyal following, with over half a million breakfast hash browns sold in store per week. That’s why our hash brown van has been designed with one purpose — to bring the nation their crispy potato fix at any time of the day, not just before 11am.”

And, if you miss out on the tour, no worries – Aldi’s Oakhurst Breakfast Hash Browns are available to buy in stores now!
