Spotify tricks commuters with April Fool’s joke

Spotify decided to wind up commuters by announcing that anyone could connect to the trains Bluetooth speaker and play whatever podcast or music tickled their fancy.

The advertisement across the train doors all seemed very legit, reading: “We know daylight savings = darker commutes. Connect your Bluetooth to this carriage speaker and brighten up the journey for those around you”.

It caused quite a stir, with 4000 comments on Facebook and a viral Twitter thread.

Most entering the debate decided this was WW3! One person wrote: “This sounds like literal hell.”

Some didn’t mind, however, with someone else writing: “I’ve always said every carriage should have a different theme.”
