Stabilo Boss challenge our conception of history with “Highlight the Remarkable” campaign

The latest campaign by office equipment giants Stabilo Boss quite literally highlights the role of women in history.

The ‘Highlight the Remarkable’ campaign consists of a series of images where women in history, whose achievements have previously gone relatively unnoticed, have been highlighted with the brands signature yellow highlighter.

The ads celebrate figures such as Lisa Meitner and her discovery of nuclear fission, which she was not credited for and Katherine Johnson whose calculations ensured the safe landing of Apollo 11.

 

 

A male skewed historical narrative has in the past stopped these stories from becoming general knowledge. Stabilo Boss are challenging this narrative and literally highlighting them to the public today to celebrate them.
