Breast Cancer Now campaign uses AI to generate memories yet to be made for cancer patients

By on Monday, March 11, 2024

Breast Cancer Now has created a ‘Gallery of Hope’ featuring a combination of photography and AI to raise awareness for the need for ongoing investment and research into secondary breast cancer.

The moving exhibition will be open to the public at the Saatchi Gallery on the 13th and 14th March and will feature portraits of individuals battling the disease alongside AI-generated snapshots of the future moment they most hope to see.

The exhibition was created by BMB for the charity and will be supported throughout March by an online gallery, social media, and short documentary films highlighting the personal stories and aspirations of each person featured in the gallery.

Simon Vincent, Director of Research, Support and Influencing at Breast Cancer Now says that the exhibition highlights “the vital role of research in bringing hope – and indeed time – so that people with the disease live to see the future moments that matter so much to them.”
