Heineken’s ‘Love Rivalry’ campaign takes flight with cheeky message ahead of Champions Cup final

In anticipation of tomorrow’s European Rugby Champions Cup final between La Rochelle and Leinster, a cheeky message has been creatively displayed at Ballyboughal Airfield.
Thanks to Champions Cup sponsor Heineken, a devoted Leinster fan has playfully taunted La Rochelle’s head coach Ronan O’Gara, fondly known as ROG.
Standing out in bold white lettering, the phrase “Never too late to turn the plane around, ROG!” has been painted, using eco-friendly paint to ensure the campaign is sustainable.
This attention-grabbing spectacle will be visible to all aircraft flying into Dublin along the La Rochelle flight path throughout the weekend, even from 30,000 feet. The mammoth message, which measures an impressive 15 meters by 10 meters, was created by Publicis Ireland.
This stunt is a part of Heineken’s ‘Love Rivalry’ initiative, which encourages fans to share playful voice messages with their opponents on matchday. The climax of this campaign will be the highly anticipated Heineken Champions Cup Final, scheduled to take place this Saturday at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
