Special Group & Uber Eats recruit Sacha Barren Cohen to crash the Australian Open

Special Group Australia and Uber Eats have hacked the Australian Open once again. This year Sacha Baron Cohen has taken to the court disguised as a relentless Rogue Umpire intent on sabotaging the game and promoting love.

Whenever the score is love between two players in the competition, Uber Eats will post a promo code on their Instagram to unlock thousands of free menu items across their partnering restaurants.

Tom Martin, chief creative officer and partner, Special Group Australia, said, “We couldn’t be happier with how Sacha Baron Cohen’s Rogue Umpire character has grabbed national attention. His antics with Nick Kyrgios, and now with Ash Barty, have been getting coverage on national morning shows, the news, and even interviews during the Tennis itself.”

Julian Schreiber chief creative officer and partner, Special Group Australia, commented, “The first week of the campaign has been going gangbusters. People are really getting into the second screen experience of watching for when the score is love so they can snap up codes on Instagram in order to score food on Uber Eats.”
