Justin Bieber busks outside Buckingham Palace

By on Wednesday, September 19, 2018

Justin Bieber has been spotted busking outside London’s Buckingham Palace in a stunt to promote his new album.

The 24-year-old stopped outside of the palace and put on an impromptu performance (captured by national photo agencies who just happened to be there) with an acoustic guitar on Tuesday, drawing in a crowd of spectators.

The singer’s guitar features the word ‘Purpose’, the name of Justin’s latest album.

Back in 2013 Bieber announced a tour of New Zealand.

In an inspired promotion – local indie radio station Rock FM announced a competition for their readers to win…’tickets to leave the country for that weekend.’

Bieber joins a long line of popstars who busked their way into the showbiz pages.

Irish rock band U2 disguised themselves as hippies to perform in the New York subway for The Tonight Show in May.

Olly Murs also did the disguise thing in a stunt with Radio 1.

Bruce Springsteen borrowed a buskers guitar in Boston, treating spectators to a performance of Born to Run.

Ed Sheeran surprised another young busker by joining her for a duet.

Scottish pop star Jimmy Sommerville joined a Berlin street musician (who happened to be singing one of the band’s songs) for an impromptu public harmony.

Nile Rodgers performed in London’s Southbank in June playing well-known singles Le Freak and Everybody Dance. The stunt was arranged to mark the relaunch of Sky Arts.

then there was Michael Buble in the NYC subway.

….and Avril Lavigne
