Lacoste replace their iconic crocodile logo with endangered animals

Lacoste has announced that their iconic crocodile logo will be temporarily stepping down from his spot on the brand’s signature polo shirts to be replaced with 10 different and very special critters.

These animals, ranging from the Vaquita porpoise to the Anegada Rock iguana all stand on the brink of extinction.

So to shine a spotlight on their plight, Lacoste will be immortalising each on a limited edition run equivalent to the number thought to be left in existence in the wild.

On one end of the spectrum, the visage of the Iguana will adorn 450 shirts however the porpoise, one of the most endangered species in the world, will feature on a mere 30.

In partnership with the International Union for Conservation of Nature they have produced 1,775 shirts in their promotional product run which was launched at the brand’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week and is now available for general sale on their website.
