Madame Tussauds responded to Trump cancelling his UK visit with this stunt

This morning, US President Donald Trump cancelled his visit to the UK in March, claiming the selling of the US embassy was behind his decision.
Reason I canceled my trip to London is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for “peanuts,” only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!

In response, waxwork museum Madame Tussauds stepped in to take a Trump waxwork model to the new US embassy in Nine Elms.
Trump cancelled his visit so we stepped in! It was certainly a surprise for the workmen at the Embassy. #TrumpVisit pic.twitter.com/L9Olk22XMm

A quick and dirty stunt, highlighted by press (Sky News’ political correspondent Tom Rayner tweeted this picture, and a few others in the same thread), showing a good bit of interest in the story.
Well done to Madame Tussauds for the quick turnaround – they’ll pick blanket coverage up from this.
