Creepy ‘It’ stunt sees red balloons appear in drains across Sydney

Another day, another ‘It’ stunt to make your skin crawl.

Less than a week before the remake of the Stephen King novel hits cinemas, red balloons have been popping up across Sydney. The balloons, used by the shape-shifting demon Pennywise to lure his victims, have appeared in drains around the city next to the message, ‘It is closer than you think’.

The creepy stunt is the latest in a string of terrifying marketing efforts for the film, including the chance to win tickets to an immersive viewing of the film.

I am insanely excited for ‘It’, and subtle, low budget stunts like this just add to the anticipation. Anyone else want to float too?
