Apple encourage Samsung to copy their ideas in cheeky print ad

“There are some ideas we want every company to copy” reads Apple’s latest print ad, making a not so subtle dig at rival Samsung, with whom they are currently embroiled in a bitter legal feud.
The ad entails a clever double meaning, on the surface letting consumers know that Apple is making waves with its efforts to be more environmentally concious, as well as implying that they aren’t going down without a fight.
Apple has in the past come under fire for its lack of environmental initiative, and on Earth Day earlier this week (22nd April), announced a series of green policies.
The hostility between Apple and Samsung has been ongoing for years, but things have heated up in recent weeks with the former suing Samsung for infringement of five patents. News of Google funding Samsung’s efforts in an apparent dig at Apple this week only adds fuel to the fire.
I hope Samsung’s marketing team is scrambling to put together an equally cheeky riposte, watch this space.
