Opinion: Adverts these days are annoying…

Everytime I switch the telly on, I’m greeted to some sort of advert that leaves me without the will to live anymore. Now, I’m saying dvertisements are useless; I’m just fed up of constantly seeing adverts that are absolutely pointless – Confused.com and Wonga being just two of the advertisements that really annoy me…

In my opinion, adverts should be more creative, with a theme that actually suits the objective and product it’s supposed to be promoting, because if not, it’s pointless having the advert overall.

If you’re planning to promote something, ohhhh, let me think, a yoghurt or borrowing money, you need something that’s going to catch the watcher’s attention – not something that would annoy them and make them want to turn the television channel over – otherwise your product could be at the centre of a moral person’s nervous breakdown.

Perhaps add a bit of colour to your advertisement or use an animal that actually goes with the theme of the product, because personally, I have no idea how a Meerkat has anything to do with cheap car insurance! Adverts like Comparethemarket, make no sense whatsoever… it’s just very annoying…
