The Power of Print

Within the world of media there are always discussions being had about the future of newspapers, especially in print form.

In an attempt to set the record straight and to prove nothing captures attention like a newspaper,  Belgium agency Duval Guillaume, gave their top three advertisers a free ride in a chauffeured car, handed them a newspaper and then proceeded to do the most ridiculous things all around them to try to distract them from what they were reading.


Whilst not one of them took their eyes of the paper for a minute to see the chaos ensuing around them, I am not entirely sure if this proves that newspapers are captivating. If the newspaper was replaced by a twitter feed I am sure it would have the same affect, as they are equally, if not more entrancing than a newspaper.

However this stunt reminds us the newspaper world isn’t going to bow out to the digital world quietly.
