I’m probably posting about this campaign with extra enthusiasm as it’s lunchtime and I’m starving, but, I love this little doosey.
Across the pond (where bacon is loved as much as it is here) there is a glorious campaign combining social media, bacon and adventure – what’s not to love?
To demonstrate the attractive qualities of Oscar Mayer’s bacon, Josh Sankey is travelling across America with a truck of bacon (fingers crossed it’s refrigerated), but no money or credit cards.
To get what he needs in terms of other food, accommodation, fuel, entertainment and so on, he must trade the bacon along the way.
I can see this really doing well. People can monitor his progress and contact him through the usual social channels, including Twitter, including the hashtag #BaconBarter, Facebook, and Instagram.
