Uber reveals UK’s Naughty and Nice Cities list for 2023

By on Monday, December 18, 2023

With the festive season well underway, Uber have announced the UK’s most naughty and most nice cities, with a new study revealing the average rider ratings across the nation in 2023.

As an early Christmas present, Uber will be rewarding hundreds of customers who were lucky enough to make it on the apps’ “nice list” (those with the top rider ratings in the country) with a £50 Uber credit for any train journeys this month.

This announcement comes as Uber revealed its busiest drop-off points with Manchester Piccadilly, Kings Cross St Pancras and Leeds Train Station topping the list.

Uber users from Merseyside claim the top spot on the “nice list” with an impressive score of 4.9, followed closely by Cambridge and East Anglia with a rating of 4.89 and Stoke with 4.88. Meanwhile, Londoners seem to lack festive spirit which has landed them on the “naughty list” with an average score of 4.72, closely trailed by Birmingham residents with an average score of 4.76.

Andrew Brem, General Manager at Uber UK said: “Train stations have always been a popular destination for riders, but now with Trains on Uber we can help our customers with the next step of their journey. We’re so grateful for our top-rated riders, who make every journey fantastic for Uber drivers and we’re thrilled to be offering them credit towards a train home this Christmas.”

For those who may have missed a spot on Uber’s “nice list” this year, Uber will be dispatching teams of helpers to major UK train stations. These festive helpers will exchange Uber Credit for a train home if members of the public can demonstrate a rider rating above the national average of 4.83!
