Clothing giant Fruit of the Loom are aiming to tackle a growing epidemic – men’s shirtless selfies.
The company’s social media campaign promotes their Eversoft tees with Dual Defence that claim to not only defend against odour and moisture but also “shirtlessness.”
The digital campaign video, created by CP+B, which went out across all Fruit of the Loom social media platforms, encourages its audience to comment #PutAShirtOn on any shirtless selfies they come across.
They state that with as little as one hashtag a day “you can make a difference”.
The amusing public service announcement claims that “every 7.3 seconds, a man posts a photo of himself without a shirt.”
Fruit of the Loom supposedly identifies the route cause of this new social epidemic to shirts falling apart before men can take a picture in them.
It’s all explained at PutaShirton.org where “for just the cost of a sandwich, you can help a man in need get his very own Fruit of the Loom Eversoft Tee.”
