Channel 4 brought the repressive world of The Handmaid’s Tale to life with commuters this morning with a provocative Metro cover wrap.
The headline; ‘Women are not allowed to read this newspaper.’
The Handmaid’s Tale is a dystopian TV drama following a Second American Civil War wherein women, called “Handmaids”, are forced into sexual and child-bearing servitude.
The stunt certainly captured the attention of commuters this morning…

Hate to admit to being #confused by the #Metro this morning. I’m not #offended, but can’t quite work out the context. #HandmaidsTale perhaps? Certainly got my attention! #women #Advertising #ThursdayThoughts #Commuter pic.twitter.com/dj01Paekao
