Humanoid Army roam London landmarks – new sci-fi show ‘Westworld’

By on Tuesday, October 4, 2016

On the 3rd October an army of 20 Humanoids descended onto three popular sites in London, in a publicity stunt for Sky Atlantic’s new sci-fi show Westworld, which debuts today (4th October).

They visisted Waterloo station, the Millennium Bridge and Westminster to help raise the show’s profile.

A survey of 2,000 people was released along with the PR stunt, showing that 58 per cent of Brits are worried about the impact robots will have on society in the future and that 41 per cent think humanoids could destroy humanity.

The new show Westworld is set in a futuristic theme park, in which guests live out their fantasies without consequences. Sky Atlantic created the show to explore what life might be like if this became a reality, focusing on the future of AI.

I’m not sure how I would have felt sat next to a Humanoid on the tube, but this stunt has served it’s purpose as I am very interested in watching! Westworld debuts today (4th October) on Sky Atlantic.
