Tennis fans given chance to return Sharapova’s serve in smart virtual reality experience

American Express has created a virtual reality experience that lets tennis fans return Maria Sharapova’s serve.
“You vs. Sharapova” is a great idea, even if it does look a bit Virtua Tennis circa 2002 when compared to other brand VR campaigns:
Either way, attendees of the U.S. Open (Aug. 31 to Sept. 13 in New York) can try the experience out at one of three stations, and as a big fan of VR and the way marketing can use it, I’d personally love to try it. American Express – help a brother out, eh?
The four-minute experience uses consumer-oriented VR device HTC Vive.
