Make your cat an Instagram superstar with Whiskas

By on Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Cats are a staple of internet entertainment. Scroll through your social media feeds and it won’t be long before you stumble across a feline, frolicking around on your screen; but up until now, the cat has merely been the subject and not the creator, leading Whiskas to ask, what do they get up to when we’re not looking?

So, to ’empower’ the cat, they’ve created Catstacam, a small collar attachment to be worn by your four-legged friend, which takes pictures and uploads them to their very own Instagram account every 20 seconds.

You also ask the Dr Jacqui Ley, top veterinary behaviour expert, for answers on why they’re doing what they’re doing; things like, why are they uncomfortably curled up in a box half their size? Or, why do they keep going out, then in, then out, and can never make up their mind? Vital questions that demand the truth.

If you’re reading this and can’t wait to get your hands on one, unless you’re an Australian journalist/celebrity, you may have to wait a while. But you can check-in to the feed for your own amewsment.

If you do look through, you’ll see that the execution could be slightly improved by using a more unique hashtag and varied photo captions, but – regardless – it’s a a truly pawsome idea…
