Volvo Trucks president turns stuntman for YouTube hit

Claes Nilsson, president of Volvo Trucks, has so much faith in the durability and strength of the Volvo Truck tow hook that he’s willing to put his life on the line. At least that’s the message the brand is sending with its new video, Volvo Trucks – The Hook.

 

 

The video shows the company president standing on the front of a 15 tonne Volvo truck, hanging from a crane, moving 65 in the air above Sweden’s Gothenburg Port. Uploaded on 1st September, it has already racked up more than 1.1 million views.

Volvo is also promoting the video on Facebook, and using #TheHook to promote the video on Twitter.

It’s certainly an effective way to showcase the brands commitment to reliable and safe vehicles.
