Volunteer driven campaign to recognise Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

By on Friday, April 27, 2012

The Jubilee Hour is a national celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this year. The campaign encourages volunteers to donate 60 minutes of their time in honour of the Queen’s 60 years of public service.

The campaign asks for anyone to pledge 60 minutes in 2012; as a family, community, group or business, be it donated to charity, your local community or a simple act of goodwill. The Jubilee Hour aims to achieve 1 million hours this year and is a fantastic campaign to utilise the media attention and buzz around this national celebration as a force for good.

Next month, in early May, donors will be able to pledge their hour of service to an online book; videos, pictures and text about the experience can be submitted. The book will accumulate total hours pledged and be your public record and national memory of the charitable donations in honour of the Diamond Jubilee 2012.
