Cadbury’s latest endeavour, the “Memory Bar Boxes,” taps into nostalgia by reintroducing iconic packaging, including iconic Dairy Milk bars dating back to 1915. In collaboration with Alzheimer’s Research UK, Cadbury aims to kindle fond memories for individuals grappling with dementia and their caregivers. These Memory Bar Boxes are not just about chocolate; they’re about fostering connections and sparking conversations. Packaged as part of a memory box, each contains a digital download link offering additional content like classic posters and vintage packaging from Cadbury’s illustrious history. This journey through time coincides with Cadbury’s 200 year anniversary, highlighting its enduring presence in British culture.

 

By teaming up with Alzheimer’s Research UK, Cadbury demonstrates its commitment to combatting dementia, a condition affecting nearly one million people in the UK. During Dementia Action Week, Cadbury will distribute 3,000 Memory Bar Boxes to care facilities and supporters of Alzheimer’s Research UK, with an additional 1,000 allocated for home caregivers. These boxes are tailored for Reminiscence Therapy, employing tangible prompts like photographs and nostalgic items to evoke memories and stimulate dialogue. Cadbury’s commitment to Alzheimer’s Research UK extends beyond distributing Memory Bar Boxes. The company pledged £200,000 to support the charity’s pursuit of a cure for dementia and its efforts to raise awareness about the condition. This generous donation underscores Cadbury’s dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.
