New Balance commemorate Raheem Sterling’s ‘route to success’

Raheem Sterling has released his fourth signature New Balance football boot, designed with the intention of paying homage to Sterling’s- quite literal- ‘route to success’.

Taking to Twitter to share the meaning behind the eye-catching boots, Sterling explains that the design is that of the seats on the buses he used to take to training, accompanied by his big sister Lakima, who rode with him every day.

“My journey to this point was far from easy but when, as a family, we didn’t have a lot, we always had each other, and we pushed each other to be the best we possibly could be.”, said Sterling.
