Dave adds ‘a little bit of Dave’ to the UK’s most boring books to celebrate World Book Day

In celebration of World Book Day 2022, Dave (the TV channel) has re-written and redesigned some of the most boring books in British culture – with a comical twist.

In a bid to put an end to this growing problem, Dave teamed up with various comedy writers such as Nikesh Shukla, Mollie Goodfellow and Steven Vinacour, penning new modernised versions of Animal Farm, The Great Gatsby and Hamlet, to name a few.

Additionally, Dave also partnered with the talented illustrator Robert Venables who brilliantly redesigned the book covers whilst retaining their original stylistic feel.

And who better to bring these stories to life than comedian and presenter Rachel Parris? You can watch her reading some of her favourite excerpts below.
