Iceland wants to play your frustration screams over a giant loudspeaker

A scream is proven to help release some tension when you’re feeling stressed and worked up.
This is the basis of a new initiative designed by the Icelandic Tourist board.
The country is marketing itself as the “perfect place to let your frustrations out” as it channels the power of scream therapy.
People from across the world are being invited to record and play their screams over a giant loudspeaker installed in remote parts of the country.
According to Sky News – ‘seven speakers are being set up around the country for the campaign and participants can choose locations such as the peak of Festarfjall in Reykjanes Peninsula and Skogafoss waterfall.’
The tourist board have created a microsite to capture your pent up rage.
The homepage copy reads;
” You’ve been through a lot this year and it looks like you need the perfect place to let your frustrations out. Somewhere big, vast and untouched. It looks like you need Iceland. Record your scream and we’ll release it in Iceland’s beautiful, wide-open spaces. And when you’re ready, come let it out for real. You’ll feel better, we promise.”
Iceland has seen relatively few coronavirus cases, with only 10 confirmed deaths.
