One Love Foundation release chocolates that taste like Respect, Obsession and Manipulation

By on Thursday, February 14, 2019

A new campaign from The One Love Foundation transforms the traditional valentines treat of a box of chocolates into an educational experience about toxic relationships.

The very special box of treats contains eight custom confections that aim to open up the conversation surrounding unhealthy relationships. The pieces’s flavours each represent a healthy or unhealthy relationship behaviour including: Respect, Honesty, Equality, Independence, Sabotage, Obsession, Isolation and Manipulation. The box is accompanied by an insert which explains more about each action and its effects.

For example, “Respect” is a strong, dark chocolate decorated with gold saffron, representing the gold standard in a relationship, while “Manipulation” is a chocolate filled with hard, sticky caramel that takes control of your jaw and is hard to swallow and “Jealousy” contains a bitter centre.

“Ultimately we want to turn a fairly mindless Valentines gift into something that gets people examining their relationship behaviours, and in doing so, helps them to love each other better,” said Al Merry TBWA\Chiat\Day NY Executive Creative Director.
