Diesel’s latest fashion collab is with a kebab shop

Taking a swipe at at the state of ludicrous collaborations in the fashion industry, Diesel Berlin have signed a brand partnership deal with a kebab shop.
Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebap is a popular takeaway outlet drawing in locals and tourists who wait for hours on end to sample its delights.
Diesel released a video mocking the collaboration trend in the fashion world, teasing how cool brands must team up even cooler brands to up their cred.
The new range features sweatshirts, t-shirts, jeans and caps, which feature a graphical mash-up of both Diesel’s and Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebap’s logos.
Diesel sent out a cookbook (rather than a look book) to press to promote this limited-edition line.
Witty lines copy included;
“Creativity is a super important ingredient. it comes after fresh tomatoes on my list,” – Mustafa
with Diesel’s boasting that
“This collection is the new avocado on toast.”
The range is available via diesel.com and in selected Diesel stores from September 3.
Behind the idea are Publicis (Italy) – who also created one of my fave campaigns of the year with a fake knock-off store.
