Are you a social media giver or a taker?

By on Tuesday, May 20, 2014

Today Give as you Live, an online award-winning fundraising platform, launched GiverOrTaker.co.uk to allow those on Twitter to determine if they’re a Giver or a Taker in terms of their social media. It takes into account a number of aspects of your Twitter account, such as how many people you follow compared to the number of people who follow you back, how often you retweet etc., to generate a score out of 100.

So, are you selfish or selfless?

Giver or Taker

Not only does the website tell you have much of a Giver or Taker you are, it also gives you stats on your Twitter account (i.e. 27% of my recent tweets were retweets) and shows you some of your latest retweets.

It’s all good fun and raises awareness of a charitable platform at the same time.

Steff Lewis, Head of Communications at Give as you Live, commented:

“The truth is out! From Kim Kardashian to Simon Cowell, the scores are in and the judgements have been passed! With no ifs, buts or maybes allowed, it’s time to face up to the truth; all the ‘givers’ can pat themselves on the back and as for the ‘takers’, well, it’s never too late to change! Give as you Live can help people donate to charity without any extra expense to them, just by making their everyday online purchases, so it’s got to be the easiest way to clock up your charitable brownie points!”
