Coca-Cola create ACTUAL rainbows to celebrate 20 years of democracy in South Africa

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of democracy in The Rainbow Nation – beginning with the presidential election of Nelson Mandela – the clever lot at Coca-Cola (and agency FCB) have only gone and created rainbows, haven’t they?
Using ‘sunlight, water, some fancy science and a little bit of magic’, rainbows appeared above Coca-Cola ads throughout Johannesburg, South Africa, aligned nicely with the brand’s ongoing global ‘happiness’ campaign.

The term ‘Rainbow Nation’ was coined by the Archbishop Desmond Tutu, describing the diversity of South Africa’s people. April is also Freedom month in South Africa.
