Save The Children UK highlights plight of children in war zones

Working with creative agency, Don’t Panic, Save The Children UK has produced a shocking video, which gives people a small glimpse of what it must be like to grow up in a war zone.
The video, which has had over 3.6 million views since 5th March, shows a regular family celebrating their daughter’s birthday. It then shows snippets of her life over the next year. We watch, as the moments captured graduate from typical everyday experiences of childhood into reports of protests, having to leave home, bombs and forced separation from parents.
It’s a very powerful film, which has already gained national coverage.
Jake Lundi, Director of Brand and Communications at Save The Children, said:
“We hope the video will resonate with members of the public, particularly those who don’t know much about the situation in Syria so they can really understand the plight of innocent Syrian children.”
