French Connection uses naked models in ‘From Sketch To Store’ campaign

Those ‘in the know’ about fashion are aware which brands are innovators in design, and which are simply piggy-backing trends, but for the general consumer it’s often easy to get so consumed in price and quality that the design credentials behind a piece of clothing can be easily forgotten.

Not so anymore for French Connection customers. To highlight it’s position as an innovator in design, the company has launched a campaign called “From Sketch to Store” which gives customers the chance to see the various stages their clothes go through before finally reaching stores.

Models were initially photographed nude, with the Autumn/Winter collection designs sketched on to printed out images of each model. Every stage of the creation process was carried out in this vein until the models were finally photographed wearing the actual pieces from the collection.

A great piece of marketing that will hopefully be carried over in to PR…watch this space.
