Kraft Heinz has recently launched a ground-breaking promotion for its iconic ketchup, known as the “Heinz Finder” initiative, to make sure their customers are no longer left disappointed by Heinz-less restaurants.

This innovative campaign utilises cutting-edge image recognition technology provided by Google, allowing users to simply take a photo of a Heinz ketchup bottle to instantly discover nearby restaurants that proudly serve Heinz ketchup. The service even provides convenient directions, ensuring that Heinz enthusiasts can easily locate their favourite condiment while dining out.

Initially introduced in Canada, the “Heinz Finder” promotion is slated for expansion into three additional markets following its successful debut. To effectively promote this exciting service, Kraft Heinz has employed a comprehensive marketing strategy, with a particular focus on digital out-of-home campaigns in major urban areas across Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.

The  seamless integration of technology not only enhances user experience but also facilitates the discovery of local eateries that feature Heinz products on their menus.

Brynna Aylward, Executive Creative Director at Gut Toronto, lauds the campaign’s simplicity, highlighting its ability to address the mutual desires of consumers and businesses alike. She emphasizes the appeal of Heinz ketchup among consumers and the reciprocal interest of restaurants in attracting more patrons.
