Sharp’s Brewery collaborates with Universal Music to create Ocean inspired track

Sharp’s Brewery wanted to create a campaign that would highlight their Cornish roots and push to protect their coastal region.

This led them to partner with Universal Music to promote the debut single of Keynvor.

Keynvor in Cornish actually translates directly to ‘Atlantic Ocean’ and the Atlantic Ocean is actually a heavy presence in the track.

The 4.44-minute song features the sounds of the ocean mixed into a composition by Sebastian Plano.

James Nicholls, senior brand manager at Sharp’s Brewery states, “We are committed to saving our unique and spectacular coastal regions…Based in Cornwall, and as surfers and ocean lovers, it’s heart-breaking to watch the water and the beaches that we love being slowly destroyed by humanity’s neglect and ignorance.”

The music of Keynvor is inspired by the coast and all revenue received from streams or downloads will be donated to charity Surfers Against Sewage, which helps protect coastal areas from threats such as erosion and pollution.

The track will be published by Universal imprint Mercury KX/Decca Publishing on digital music providers such as Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and Google Play.
