KFC release Christmas decorations

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, KFC has become masters of creating fried chicken products as a PR stunt.
In fact I’m getting a little bored, nothing has topped the finger lickin’ good nail polish a few years ago.
Yet here I am writing about it, because I love fried chicken, and regardless of it lacking in creativity or imagination, it’s done the job yet again.
KFC in New Zealand has released fast food themed Christmas tree decorations. The baubles come in a pack of five, and contains a bucket of fried chicken, a chicken drumstick, a set of fries, some more chicken and a replica of the big man himself, Colonel Sanders.
Only one KFC fan will get to hang them on their tree however, as they’re currently only available to win on the KFC New Zealand Facebook page.
KFC marketing director Clark Wilson, said: ‘We’re now making Christmas wishes come true for fans with this exclusive range of #KFChristmas decoration. Forget the mistletoe this year – these naughty and nice decorations are sure to make the magic happen when you grab a drumstick off the tree and hold it overhead.’
It’s done the rounds on social media, getting shared and commented on tens of thousands of times, been covered by the Metro, Mashable, Business Insider, the Sun, Daily Mail and Pretty 52 to name a few. It seems that KFC isn’t planning on doing any other sort of PR campaign any time soon…and to be honest who can blame them?
