Tourist board’s Star Wars stunt isn’t such a bore

PR stunts to promote a big movie release are now common place. James Bond’s most recent outing saw Heineken arrange a space selfie and Avengers and Jurassic World have also taken the streets to promote their cinema releases.
So now it is the time of Star Wars, and it seems like everyone is using what is arguably the most eagerly anticipated film in recent years as an opportunity to give themselves a little PR boost.
Wye Valley and Forest of Dean tourism association for example.
With some of the film shot at nearby Puzzle Wood (the place that inspired Tolkein when he was writing Lord of the Rings), the tourist board jumped at the chance to advertise its new television and movie trial by arranging for Storm Troopers to surf down the Severn Bore.
The bore see’s the tide flow back up the river and often draws quite a crowd and surfing on it is a tradition with the locals.
