Train made entirely of cake pulls into Paddington

A delicious stunt yesterday saw passengers at Paddington Station treated to a 13ft train carriage made entirely of cake. Celebrating the 15th birthday of the Heathrow Express in stand-out style, slices of the cake – made by a team of 15 specialist bakers from the Eat Your Heart Out team – were handed out to the public all afternoon between platforms 6 and 7.

In keeping with the 15th birthday theme,15 ingredients – including 60kg of buttercream and 80 sheets of madeira sponge -were used to create the epic cake, which has already seen coverage on BBC News, the Evening Standard, MSN News and The Londonist
