Google Doodle commemorates Robert Moog’s birthday

By on Wednesday, May 23, 2012

On what would have been music innovator Robert Moog’s 78th birthday, Google have released their latest doodle. The stunt depicts the Google logo as part of a synthesiser, which users are encouraged to play and even record and play back their creations.

Moog was credited in transforming musical synthesisers back in the 1960s, and interestingly, many DJs even still use them today such is their popularity.

This is the latest doodle stunt from Google, who have gained quite a reputation for these, with users particularly partial to the interactive and useable ones such as the one today.

It will be interesting to see if I can actually play anything on it, but its without doubt worth a go or three!!
