The National Trust is keeping parks open for free for those wanting some fresh air

The National Trust has announced that it’ll keep a number of its gardens open and free amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Following the recent government advice that we should work from home and avoid social gatherings, it’s easy for people to feel cooped up and wanting fresh air.

To help out, the National Trust will keep a number of its wide-open spaces available for the public that want to get out whilst still practicing social distancing.

A statement on its Twitter page explained: “We’re aiming to open many of our gardens and parks for free during this difficult time, so the nation can use open spaces to relax and refresh while following the government’s social distancing guidance. We will be closing our houses, cafés, and shops this week.
